Facebook: Jessica Whelan - A fight against Neuroblastoma.

This is the true face of cancer, my baby girls blood vessels protruding from beneath her skin, a solitary tear running down her cheek, her body stiffened and her face contorted in pain.

The photo is more powerful than any words. FUCK CANCER. No beautiful child should go through this. Past time to cure it. My late father, going through myelodysplasia, needed transfusions at the end of his life. He had to walk through by children's cancer section at the hospital, and given his defense of orphans for all those decades, the sight of all that suffering shortened his lifespan, I'm sure. I sat with him during one session, and he said, "I hope I go soon - all the more for them. They're the ones who need it. They have their whole lives to live yet."

The family has a GoFundMe page here.
