Many news orgs need to do a free and open post-mortem. I'll accept mea culpas, if offered with clear methods to avoid such mistakes in the future. However - this article paints a picture that is likely reflected across many organizations, and gives me very little hope for journalism in America going forward. They need to get back to their roots. Washington Post is on the right track though ... news orgs need more people to keep tabs on this new Administration, not less. Beat reporters, long-term exposès. Grizzled editors who've worked their niches for decades. All the 'old fashioned' journalism needs to return.
