I was like 15 when the 'impending Ice Age' news-machine started. As a kid, it was quite worrisome, really. I remember having discussions in class about it. Much as younger folk want to poo-poo it as 'fake news', it was blown up in to a 'thing' by the '70's media. Some call it a 'scare' - it truly was.
Of course, it has NOTHING to do with what science has found out about our world today. The tech is 1000x better. We're warming. And too goddamned fast.
