Guardian.UK: End is nigh for Nasa's Cassini as it heads for crash landing on Saturn.

Everyone's crowing now. Remember the stink about the slingshot maneuvers, which if botched, could have put about 70 pounds of plutonium in our stratosphere? I can never hear the name without recalling the howls of abject fear and panic. Apparently those power sources are still good for about 700 watts, even at this late date. Thanks for all the info, Cassini. It's been a real experience.
