Still busy.

I had a dream last night. Remembering a little handicapped girl in my third grade class. We used to take turns wheeling her special narrow wheelchair from room to room. I know she probably could only focus on her handicap, but I loved wheeling her around to see her beautiful delicate hands. She died that year, so I never got to tell her. Not that I would have, as a child. But it just makes me remind all of you to tell those you care about how much they mean to you, in whatever way that is, every day.

Joy: Just got sprayed in the face by that watering gadget. See below. Enough force to feel I was drowning. I look like a drowned rat, speaking of drowning … but the trees are watered, and that’s what counts. Curb appeal.

Observation: You always know the dog owner. They’re the ones who reach in their pants pockets and pull out empty poop bags as they’re looking for keys, pens, etc.

Fitness update: And, well yes I’m sore from yesterday. Not as badly sore as I expected. But clearly today is a rest day, if I can stop myself from constantly doing calisthenics on furniture, patio features and playgrounds. Running with Zari gets my quads screaming in protest. The post-COVID insomnia kicked in again two-three days ago. Waking up at 3AM, trying to force myself back to sleep. So far, I’m not suffering from the lack of Z’s. May nap later this afternoon, let my body and mind recover.

Linking this only because important on this Earth Day: Capital+Main, Oil Companies Must Set Aside More Money to Plug Wells. Realize that a plugged well is not permanent. Texas has like two dudes in a pickup truck checking tens of thousands of wells a year. Imagine how many actually get checked. Read about this years ago. The concrete plugs degrade and start leaking profusely. BIG problem. “Ethical drilling”, my Jersey ass …

Also: Pee in a bucket. Add a similar amount of water. Pour it around your plants. I did this for an entire winter and had the best garden next spring - much to the disgust of some. I never detected any smells. Not for foodstuffs without proper direction. Free fertilizer for Earth Day.

Morning blossoms. Happy Earth Day!
