I have had the opportunity to give a gift to people I do not know.

20 years ago, I took photos of a young woman who was a realtor in town. Many years later, long after we’d lost touch, breast cancer cut her life short in 2021. I happened to meet one of those heaven-sent go-betweens, a person to whom I mentioned knowing her and having taken photos of her, and she was able to connect me to the the woman’s sister.

I have just sent off the first of many photos I have - one of my favorite portraits. Look at that smile!

My heart is full, being able to gift her family some really great memories of her, at her best in life.
