Many people are having deep thoughts, doing historical excavation to verify and justify Colorado’s choice over Orange Jesus. It’s important to do, because the Supremes have a history of historical blinders (there’s a phrase for you). They cherrypick history through convenient lenses, and make rulings. Scalia was particularly prone to this. I’ve mentioned it before, and I’ll repeat it again here … those Trump-appointed justices who claim to be Originalists have their hands tied. They must interpret OJ’s actions as insurrection, or else they very visibly, publicly betray their stated philosophies. I take great satisfaction in the knowledge that they are squirming right now, trying to find an ‘out’. “Self-Borking.” (snort.)
